Dow Announces 2018 Community Grant Recipients in Prentiss

Lacombe County, Alta - September 04, 2018 - Dow Canada is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Dow Gives Community Grants Program for the Prentiss site. This program provides funding to local organizations and projects that visibly improve communities. This year, Dow chose eight organizations within Lacombe County.

“Dow believes playing an active role in the communities we operate in,” said Jessica MacDonald, Site Public Affairs Manager for Dow Canada. “The Dow Gives program allows local organizations to build resilient communities, which we have seen since 2001.”

The recipients of the Community Grants Program are as follows:

  • Clive Minor Hocker Club
  • Ecole Oriole Park School
  • JJ Collett Natural Area Foundation
  • Lacombe & District Historical Society
  • Stettler Minor Lacrosse Association
  • Waskasoo Environmental Education Society
  • Wolf Creek Public School Division

These recipients were chosen by a committee comprised of Dow employees, community members and local representatives. The committee evaluated the applications based on community impact and the Dow’s Community Success Goals.
