Welcome to Dow Canada

For more than 75 years, Dow has been proudly innovating in Canada. We develop basic chemicals and plastics used to make broad range of innovative and technology-based products and solutions in the packaging, industrial and infrastructure, and consumer care industries.

Dow Canada is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and has manufacturing locations in Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss, Alberta; West Hill, Ontario; and Corunna, Ontario.

Dow’s Canadian operations started in 1942 with a facility to produce styrene at the request of the Canadian government. Styrene was needed for the production of rubber, which was in high demand due to the Second World War. The facility was Dow’s first international project.
