Sponsorship

Dow’s sponsorship program carefully chooses sponsorships that align with our commitment to supporting the communities where we operate in Canada and Indigenous led events close (within 100 km) to our manufacturing facilities in Fort Saskatchewan and Lacombe County, Alberta and St. Clair River and West Hill in Ontario.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Dow sponsorship your organization must be:

          ✓ A registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency

          ✓ A qualified donee with Canada Revenue Agency

          ✓ Nonprofit incorporated provincially or federally

          ✓ An Indigenous community (within 100 km to a Dow location)

          ✓ Educational institution

          ✓ Social enterprise

          ✓ Chamber of Commerce

What is not eligible

Please note that the following areas/groups are precluded from support through Dow’s sponsorship program:

Selection criteria

Our sponsorship selection is guided by the following criteria:

• Alignment to Dow’s core values:

  • Integrity
  • Protecting our planet
• Alignment to Dow’s Company commitments and positions
• Marketing potential
• Opportunities for Dow employees to volunteer
• Opportunities for relationship building with community members
• Community impact (contribution to community welfare and social responsibility, ability to reach broad range of people, and fundraising and organizational revenue generation opportunity)
• Proximity to a Dow location (40 km for community organizations and 100 km for Indigenous communities)

To apply for a sponsorship, please email your sponsorship package. Our sponsorship committee meets monthly and organizations applying for sponsorship will receive notification within six weeks. If notified that your sponsorship application was successful, payment takes 2-3 weeks to process.

Sip, recycle, support! Bottles and cans support communities

Dow’s sponsorship is made possible through the Company’s Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero expansion project. This program takes a percentage of the recycling revenue from bottle, cans and recycled structural steel and supports community sponsorships. Launched in 2025, to date the program has supported more than $60,000 in sponsorships.
